Meet our handsome boy Koda! Koda is a male Jindo mix from Korea who is sweet and gentle. He enjoys taking naps or playing with his toys. He loves to go on walks and experience life with his people.
*Profile: Koda is a 3 years old, 47 lb brindle Jindo mix.
*Temperament: He is a sweet and gentle boy who loves to play with toys. We named him after Disney's animation character, which is a perfect name for him.
*Socialization: He is great with other dogs, and he is very gentle and respects other dog's space. He is afraid of bigger dogs like malamute, huskies or pyranees so a multi-pet family with a small to mid size dog is preferred. He loves to be around people. Not tested with kids. Not tested with cats.
*Rescue Story: Koda was rescued from a dog meat farm in Korea. He arrived in Washington DC on September 2, and has been living with a foster family. He has settled into her foster home very well and given he has never lived with humans, he made significant improvements each day.
*Current location: He is being fostered near Sterling, VA. We would give a priority to applicants in the metro DMV area. We do not transport our dogs and adopter will be expected to come to our foster location for meet-and-greet and adoption.
*Ideal home: Koda will probably do better in a quiet neighborhood. We are looking for a family who could take him out 3-4 times a day for potty breaks.
