All of our dogs ready for adoption have received:
Dogs will also come with a basic harness, leash, collar, and name tag.
Our basic requirements are:
Our adoption is not a first-come-first-serve. We often receive multiple applications for one dog and upon reviewing applications and interviews, we try to find the best match for our dog with a loving family. Every dog has different temperaments and energy levels so we try hard to match adopters' lifestyles, past experience with dogs, and personalities.
Yes. We offer a 1-week trial period and we will refund your adoption fee minus $50 if you decide the dog was not the best match. within the trial period. We have a lifetime adoption policy thus we do not allow our adopters to rehome by themselves or surrender to a shelter or any other local agencies so you can surrender your dog to us any time but we will not refund you the adoption fee after the 1 week trial period. In case you return the dog, we will not find a replacement dog and you will need to wait at least 6 months and resubmit the application for another adoption. We reserve the right to reject any new application upon review and prior approval does not guarantee the approval for the newly submitted application.
The first step is to fill out the application form by going to the 'adoption application' menu. If we decide to move forward with your application, you will be scheduled for an adoption interview and home check. Our process typically takes 5-7 days but sometimes longer depending on the applicant's availability for the interview.
Yes. As long as dogs are currently local, we will be able to schedule a meet and greet after an interview. All dogs posted in Petfinder and Adopt-a-pet are located within the United States and you can find their location. Dogs get stressed meeting new people so we offer a meet and greet to only approved applicants. To schedule a meet and greet, your application must be pre-approved and you must sign the Release and Hold Harmless Agreement. Meet and greet will be conducted at a neutral outdoor space for the safety of all parties involved. If you want to bring your resident dog to a meet and greet, you must first provide proof of the rabies vaccine and DHPPL prior to the meet and greet and we will also ask to have your dog wear a muzzle and be on a leash.
We ask you to wait 6 months before you re-apply once your application was rejected. If your application was pre-approved but did not have any dog you were interested, your application is good for 6 months.
Yes! We provide an adopter's guide where you can find resources. We also offer orientation via zoom for our adopters and also provide post adoption support via phone for any issues or concerns you may have.
